PHINMA Properties wins Three Housing Awards from HLURB

Wednesday, June 20, 2007

PHINMA Property Holdings Corporation (PHINMA Properties) was recently recognized for its excellence in condominium development by no less than the government’s regulatory body for housing and land development.

The Housing & Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) gave PHINMA Properties the “National Awardee and Expanded National Capital Region (ENCR) Regional Awardee as Leading Developer in Medium Cost Condominiums” while the company’s Quezon City condominium township, Spazio Bernardo, was given the “Special Award as Best Condominium Design.”

The recognition for National Awardee as Leading Developer in Medium Cost Condominiums bolsters PHINMA Properties' position as the country's leading developer of affordable Medium & Hi-Rise housing in the country. PHINMA Properties has a track record of having close to 5,000 condominium units to-date and will build this up to more than 8,400 units once the developer completes the three projects it has in the pipeline this year.

PHINMA Properties President & CEO Willie J. Uy says in an interview, “our company is a trail-blazing builder of such community-oriented, sturdy and strong, medium rise housing – having erected numerous, medium rise buildings with residential units around Metro Manila. PHINMA Properties is unique in its industry in that each of the company’s projects has spawned innovation in the following one, facilitating sales and attracting clientele with greater ease.”

On the other hand, the Special Award for Spazio Bernardo as having the Best Condominium Design for “Batas Pambansa 220” (BP 220) Projects is significant as it throws a strong light on PHINMA Properties' thrust of delivering affordable yet quality homes for the Filipino. BP 220 is the set of rules and guidelines specifying the standards for economic housing projects.

Uy comments, “Despite the fact that we sell at affordable levels, our projects do not look "low-cost" and in fact look like projects costing twice as much. This is proof of our value for money proposition where buyer gets more that he expected from his peso.  We even exceed BP 220 specs without increasing our prices. “

Grant Orbeta, AVP for Marketing and Design adds that “handling both Marketing & Design departments allows for that unique opportunity to listen our to buyers and translate qualitative market needs into perceptible architectural solutions through our in-house design team. We design our projects as if we were to buy it and live there ourselves. Thus, our projects break the mold by going decidedly beyond expectations associated with the affordable housing genre.”

PHINMA Properties is also the first and only developer with triple ISO certification for the Quality, Environmental and occupational Safety and Health Management System (see related story). PHINMA Properties will develop three new projects this year starting with San Benissa Garden Villas in Quezon City which is now under construction. Soon to be launched is Fountain Breeze in Sucat, Parañaque and RidgeCrest Villas in Almanza, Las Piñas.
